The SlackYard is designed for use in grass and compact soil. It is not designed for use in sand, turf, or extremely soft ground types. For softer ground, extend your anchors and add more screws. For hard soil, wet the grass first to help the screws drive in.
Absolutely — it's the best way to start. Unlike traditional slacklines that are often high and intimidating, the SlackYard lets you start just a few inches off the ground. Set the line short and tight for maximum stability, then increase the length as your balance improves.
All you need is a standard power drill. The SlackYard is a complete all-in-one system including heavy-duty A-frames, pro-grade GIBBON webbing, high-tension ratchets, and proprietary ground-screw anchors.
Initial assembly takes about 15–20 minutes. Once you've chosen your spot, driving the ground screws takes only a few minutes with a drill. Most users set it up once at the start of the season and leave it ready all summer.
At maximum extension the SlackYard spans 30 feet (9m) and stands 1.5 feet (0.5m) tall. It weighs approximately 35 lbs — easy to pack for a park trip or store for winter.

Surprisingly, no. Our ground screws function like an aeration tool. When you remove the system, you're left with only a small hole that grass typically recovers from in a few days. No concrete or digging required.

This is utterly brilliant! The video to put it up was really helpful, took about half an hour to set up. A tall stick was useful for older less good at balancing people ie me! Still playing with our slack board in the house too. We got the cards to keep it going not just learning to walk on the slack board. Domy daughter is trying those on the slack line and she has managed tree pose on the slack line after half an hour, but she is a dancer so got it really quick, not like me, I'm still using the stick!! Many thanks gibbon, great customer service too, I had to contact them about the order and they got back to me straight away.
Great product and even better customer service
We don't have trees in the right spot in our back yard to anchor a slack line to. This is the perfect solution. My 5 year old loves it on the lowest setting, lost of room to grow. Black paint in a bit cheap, paint coverage out of the box was mehh. Well see how long the metal takes to start rusting.

Such a cool new design! Hi - I recently bought the slackyard and love it - I now want to make it more difficult by using a 1 inch line instead of the 2 inch line that came with it. Where can I buy this?
Great to hear you're loving the SlackYard! The SlackYard is specifically designed to work best with the included 2-inch GIBBON Classic Line. Because it uses a unique line and ratchet integration for its anchors, our standard 1-inch tree lines or SlackBoard lines aren't compatible. Currently, we don't offer a 1-inch line option for this system in the UK or elsewhere. I've shared your interest with our team for future accessory consideration! In the meantime, the GIBBON Balance App has some great advanced drills to keep challenging your balance on your current setup.
Can adults use this also
Yes! The SlackYard is designed to be used by adults and kids.
Most of our yard is slightly sloped. Can the A-Frames be adjusted to stand at slightly different heights in order to level the slackline?
Yes, the frames have multiple height adjustments.
I have a traditional Slack line that I use with trees, and the ratchet system system for tightening. It is difficult to wrangle with just one person. How easy is the tightening mechanism on a Slack yard? Do you have a video that shows the exact set up of the stands?

Can it be installed on concrete
No, this can not be installed in to concrete as it is only intended to be installed into unobstructed dirt.
